After a four-year college education, I quickly gained a strong distaste for a traditional career. Surrounded by reasons to go into business for myself, I did so and had more failure than success for the next 20 years. Four times I ignored an alarming wake up call to do something different, twice by physical tragedy and twice by financial disaster.

My 'happy' used to be connected to future goals but now it surrounds my current moment. By listening to my heart, I am beginning to recognize the value of my life experience, reconnect with who I am, and actually monetize the things that I love to do.

Now I get to teach my 5 kids a way of life that affords them the lifestyle they want. Now I can embrace a life of purpose for my family's well-being and for my own personal visions. Now I can take the time to master the art of joy and appreciation and generosity and manifesting. Now I get to experience abundance instead of chasing it.
