The 4-Hour Workweek
By Tim Ferriss
Trading your time for money or happiness????
Tell me, does time freedom equate to a weekend off from a hectic 40+ hour work week to you or does it mean being able for YOU to decide the days that make up your “weekend”?
Remember Tina and Tony back in our video and blog “Inspiration or Desperation”??? If not, check the link below.
Tina is aware of what is most valuable in her life, what makes her truly happy, and out of inspiration is taking the steps to achieve it. She wants to be able to spend more time being “present” and involved in raising her two young kids. It’s important to Tina to be able to cook them a healthy breakfast and pick them up from school every day. Enjoying their evenings together be it at sports practice, helping them with their homework and reading, or sitting down at the dinner table to discuss each other’s day encouraging them to think about their future goals is Tina’s intention and life purpose.
Tina also wants time for and with herself. While she prides herself on being supermom and providing all that she can for her babies, she is aware that her own sanity depends also on personal growth and being able to share her time doing activities that ultimately attain happiness is the balance that Tina’s wants. Tina IS in the process of taking her time back by escaping the 9 to 5.
Tina knows that none of the above can be attained with a steady and clear focus in her current work situation where she has to spend eight plus hours working at and on someone else’s dream.
