Looking back over my life, it seemed that there were a few moments that talented people would come out of the woodwork. Madonna--where did she come from back in the 1980s? All of a sudden there were albums she cut and no one ever heard her name. She was an overnight success. Which never happened.
No Such Thing As An Overnight Success
People who seem to appear from nowhere and are popular in Hollywood or any talent went through years of training, practice, and polishing to get to where they appeared. No one ever did it overnight.
Madonna lived in New York city for years in a ratty apartment. There was hardly any water pressure in the place. But she went to the recording studio and sang. Appeared on stage polishing her act until she was the success she is today.
Are You Impatient
How long have you been working on your business? Months? Years? Keep working it. But do more than work at it. Find someone to get advice from. Practice what they advise. Practice it until it becomes a part of you.
Laws of Attraction
If you picture in your mind what you want from your work, it will come to you provided you have faith and discipline to have it. It requires work. As much mental work as physical work.
If you talk about what you want as though you already have it, the universe will hand it over to you. You should give appreciation for having those things too. Give thanks as if you have them in your possession. Then have the patience to receive them down the road. "All good things come to those who wait..."
But That's The Tough Part
Waiting is the toughest part of it all. Be patient. Be assured that what you want will come.
I know a man ... he and his wife prayed for nine years for a child. Nine years! He and his wife had faith. They kept praying and waiting until the fateful day. He heard his wife say: "Honey, I pregnant!" Could you possibly feel their jubilation? But get this; they didn't have just a child, they got twins. One boy, one girl. Two of the happiest, most playful kids anyone could meet. Faith and patience.
Apply this to your business. You want to make XXX amount of money every month. You've been working for months, maybe a year or more. It hasn't arrived ... yet. But trust that it will. Work, have faith in yourself and your Higher Power, give appreciation then work some more. When you get to the other side of the fence, so to speak, you'll look back and wonder what you were so worked up over. And even better yet, you'll appreciate the arrival of your goals even more. They will taste so much sweeter.
No. There is no overnight success. Only well polished, grooved in, practiced, victorious successes that make it look so easy. But then they laser beamed their thinking for a long time before they got it right.
