BEING AN ANALYZER CAN BE A REAL PAIN - ESPECIALLY IF IT PARALYZES YOU & KEEPS YOU TRAPPED IN YOUR HEAD.

Procrastination is common among small business owners.  For us thinkers and analyzers, who dwell in our heads too much,  procrastination can be a form of stress relief.  Stress being the trigger and procrastination, the response. Think about it...

Thanks Mel Robbins - I'll take that. She says that we are to forgive ourselves. To take a breath and then find a way to break the connection between the trigger and our response. 

Financial strain and the burden of responsibility are huge stressors for us. So too is a sense of aloneness and entrapment - a feeling akin to being in a prison but with open doors. This becomes more apparent as the years toboggan by. We begin to stress about - well - pretty much everything:  Our savings being a biggie for many of us. Had I carried on on the path I had set myself as a young adult, I would still be in a state of overwhelm. You see, we set these huge goals - and stick to them - with tight & inflexible minds thus remaining entrapped.

Goal setting was big in the 80's and 90's. They told us that without a long-term goal and a crystal clear plan, we would flounder around in mediocrity.

Then they told us - live in the NOW. Good grief man! 

  Let's try this: Stop with the big plans going forward until you have taken a small step first. Stop it with all the thinking  - just start by doing something small. Give yourself a break from analyzing- it is debilitating. Take that first, small step. Trust yourself and your instincts again. Take deep breaths. Remember your superpowers! NOW.

STARTING TO MAKE CHANGES IS THE HARDEST PART.  IT IS NOW TIME TO WORK SMARTER - NOT HARDER.
