How I Boosted My Weak Immune System And Became Healthy Person

When I was in my early twenties and my immune system is very weak. I get either cold, flu, running nose or sore throat at least once a month. Everyday I wake up tired after eight hours of sleep feeling no energy throughout the day. One winter I suffer from four weeks long flue. This experience tells me only one thing. I have to do something about it. I go to doctors and get flue jab. It doesn’t really helps. I still get ill. The only difference is the symptoms are not as severe as before. This is not what I want. I’m thinking what can I do to boost my immune system to stop getting ill every so often. I doubt that this is possible. I blame my genes for this. One day I am having conversation in my house with my best friend about it. My friend tells me about the book THE pH Miracle. He says to me “this book is about diet and if you follow it you will never get ill again”.

Let me tell you a little bit more what is the book about.

Without boring you I will tell you quickly what is about. The book is about Acid-Alkaline Diet. Well.. If the pH of your body is below 7 it means that your body is acidic. The lower the pH is, the more acidic the body is. Acidic body is unhealthy body. Your immune system is compromised. You are than very likely to get ill. If pH of your body is above 7 that means your body is alkaline. Alkaline body is healthy body. You are unlikely to get ill.

I learnt what food makes body acidic.

  • Artificial sweeteners.
  • Refined sugar.
  • Milk and dairy products.
  • Meat products.
  • Processes food.
  • Fizzy drinks

I learnt how to make my body alkaline.

  • The key is to eat whole foods especially lots of fruits and vegetables to remove toxins from body. 
  • Drink green juices or smoothies. This is the best way to detoxify your body .
  • Drink glass of lemon water everyday on empty stomach.

How did I Feel While Reading This Book?

I’m reading the book there are stories of people who recovered from mental diseases and cancer. I find it hard to believe in what I am reading. The only way to find out whether its true or not is to try it.

What happens after.

Shortly after reading the book from cover to cover I start eating lots of fruits and vegetables, legumes, nuts, drinking green juices and smoothies. I notice positive changes:

  • My immune system improves.
  • I don’t get ill. I mean absolutely nothing. No flue, cold, etc. The last time I was ill was in December 2010.
  • I feel more energetic.
  • I notice improvement in quality of hair and skin.
  • I look younger than I am.
  • I loose 10 kilograms in 2 weeks.

What I am most proud of.

After reading The pH Miracle my journey to achieve perfect health has begun. When I was in transition period I am still eating meat but I feel that I have to take it to next level. I learn how to prepare healthy food. I discover that is easy and faster to make delicious vegan meals. Few weeks later I become vegan on plant based died. This is what is all about. Eating unprocessed, plant based food. This food is not only good for my body but also good for my soul. This diet is now my lifestyle. This is the best decision I have ever made.
