Are you aware of YOUR GENUINE VALUES?
Your values are the essential YOU. All the things that matter to you.
But what happens if you do not live your life in alignment with your genuine values over a period of time?
I'll tell you: It might lead to anxiety, depression or stress. And if that continues over a long period of time, it will be very damaging to your health both physically and mentally. When that happens, it has become a lifestyle, which is why it is called lifestyle-disease.
BUT, the GOOD NEWS is, that a LIFESTYLE is something YOU but ONLY YOU can CHANGE! You are in control of which lifestyle you choose to build your life upon.
So, what should I change?
Since values are very individual, you first have to find out what your values are. Ask yourself: What gives me joy in life, motivation, energy? What really matters to me in relationships, family, friends, your interests, your jobs, vacations, your health, home etc.
Write down all your values on a long list.
The reason for numbering is that you have to take care of one problem at a time. Not all of them at once. I'll explain that another day.
Now you have an overview of your values and the areas in your life that drains you. YOU have the choice to CHANGE it. Change it to get more ENERGY, TIME AND FEEL GOOD.
