Give a man a fish....or teach him to fish?

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." ~Chinese Proverb

This I have found is so very true! I ahve always thought that I would do everything and anything to help another person. How effective was I at helping them was questionable. Through lessons along my way I discovered this concept. Learning to help others help theirselves, I found was much better. I have always went way overboard trying to help others and now realize how to help them thrive independently.

For example: There is a difference between helping someone and teaching someone how to help theirself. When I first started doing Physical Therapy 18 years ago I would physically help my patients with every move they made. As time moved along and I learned that I was breaking down and they were not gaining strength as quickly as I would have hoped, bingo the lightbulb went on. I then allowed them the time to make the physical moves on their own only guiding and directing. Soon I noticed great results physically (strength/balance), with their confidence and with their drive to do better.

So on that note I learned to teach people to fish vs giving them a fish.

So I am reaching out to you today to offer a tool to help yourself (Hawaiians would say: Ho'olako: supply, equip, provide, furnish, enrich). This life changing educational community I am a part of has taught me how to start my own business and I will soon have the freedom to roam and fish!/Follow my dreams! I want to share this with you as well. Go to the Click here for more information tab and find out if it is a match for you as well.

As always dedicated to your success,

Aloha,

Lori
