HOBBY'S CREATE HARMONY
- Do you have a hobby?
- Do you know what a hobby is?
You need to have a hobby!
Well first to define what a hobby means to me!
For me a hobby is something that gets your creative juices flowing, that gets those raging endorphins fired up, that which creates calm and peace of mind.
WHY SHOULD EVERYONE HAVE A HOBBY?
For all the reasons I stated as above and more. Especially if you hate your job, you feel stressed out, angry, annoyed, frustrated and you just want to punch someone out that's acting like a dickhead. Your tired and drained and you just want to go home. That is your hobby comes in, (well if you're not too tired, angry or stressed out). Your hobby can change your whole mood, from psycho to mellow. When you do something you love it makes you feel good, happy and content so you will make time for it. It's great for the mind, body, and soul and in turn being beneficial for your whole well being. If your happy more than likely your family will be too.
I'M A HOBBIE JUNKIE
I've had hobbies my whole life, my parents also have a variety of hobbies. Mum paints, knits, sews and gardens. Dad makes model planes and ship's, he loves fishing and does a lot of DIY around the house. They are very happy with their hobbies, are retired and spend a lot of time traveling.
As for me and my hobbies, I have a lot! I love to paint canvases, I love to restore furniture and do a lot of DIY. At present, I am making pallet tables which are pretty popular at the moment. I also love to garden, my husband says I have way too many plants, I say you can never have enough lol. I also love photography, gym and watching the sunrise. I'm hobby junkie, doing these things make me happy. You don't need to have many hobbies, all you need is just one.
You don't even need to be good at it, you can learn as you go and master it if you want. If you like doing it and it makes you happy, do it.
So here are a few ideas if you're not sure what it is you might be into. You can always change and do something else if you decide you don't like something you started, that's the beauty of hobbies. We all have a thing. I hope you find yours!
- Cooking Making
- Jewellery Making
- Volunteering (animal shelter, homeless shelter)
- Bike riding
- Learn an instrument
And much much more.
So I hope I've inspired those without hobbies just a wee little bit to try something new and to find your thing.
The daily bump and grind can take its toll on the best of us, and with all the stress from daily life motions, can be harmful to our health. We all know life is short, so find your click, your groove, your thang. Do what makes you happy and life will become more enjoyable, exciting, satisfying and triumphant. Have fun!
Be kind, Be free, Be you!
