Why Spending Time With Family At Christmas Is So Important

Spending time with family is priceless and is always more special at Christmas time. We can get all the presents in the world but they are just things.

If you have not got your family then all the ltest gadgets and gizmos really don't mean much.

I have been back in the UK for a few days and spending time with family last Saturday was really special.

We had an early Christmas with them this year as I am going back to Cyprus tomorrow. We had a fantastic day last Saturday.

All my 3 grown up sons were there with the respective girlfriends, my brother and sister in law and my father in law who we are taking back to Cyprus for a few weeks.

We were all together and yes it was nice exchanging gifts but the most special thing was seeing everybody together, the numerous conversations that were going on, the laughter and the love in the room.

The only tinge of sadness was the absent friends. Both my and my wife's mother passed away a number of years ago but my dad ony passed away a few months ago so a raw nerve was struck when I thought about him. Hopefully wherever they are they could see that we were all together.

So as Christmas is approaching please make sure you spend time with the people who you love. Enjoy the holidays, eat, drink and be merry and have a great time.

Most of all tell them that you love them, it costs nothing but means everything. Also this time of year is a time for reflection, a time to look back over the last 12 months.
