How do you plan your day for success? Here are some ideas on how to plan your day for maximum productivity performance or to achieve any of your goals.
1) Every minute spent in planning saves 10 minutes in getting the job done. So the most important thing you can do is to plan your day preferably the night before.
Sit down with a piece of paper and write down everything you have to do.
It should be the last thing to do at the end of the day and then the first thing you do in the morning before you check your email or phone.. you should make a list.
Running down the list clarifies your thinking and writing down the list forces you to think at a higher level.
All successful people work from a list and all successful people work from the checklists.. checklist is organized in sequence and you go down the list.
2) The second thing you can do is to set priorities on the list before your begin.
Apply 80/20 rule, if you have 10 items on the list 2 will be valuable, sometimes 90/20 rule - one will be valuable then all the other things.
3) Go down the list and ask yourself this question, what one thing you want to be sure to complete? Identify the task. Begin with the most important task and stay on it until it’s complete .. this is called as Single Handling of a task.. this increases your productivity 50% more than an average day.
Let me recap - 1. Start with the list, 2. Organize the list through priority, 3. Start on completing your most important task and you surely can double triple your productivity..
