FACT: The cornerstone of any successful business is marketing, but how much time do we truly spend on understanding and defining our target audience? I think we all intrinsically know the answer to this question. Not enough... and as the saying goes "If you sell to everyone, you sell to no one."

Defining your target market is all about getting the right message to the right people at the right time. My tip: Look at yourself and the market that you came from.

3. Where do They Hang Out?

5. What Is Stopping Them?

Once you have a better understanding of your target audience you will need to test to see if you hit the nail on the head or if you need to keep refining your target audience. This might seem like a cumbersome task at first but keep in mind that you want to see the long-term benefits. Keep doing this until you see the results you want.

Once you defined your audience, it's critical to understand the types of personalities that you might encounter. For example Red, Green, Yellow etc. This is a topic on its own and I will be posting this shortly.
