Kick Spark Your Life - Part 3

If you have been following my blogs about my 12 week health kick, I am now into week 7 of booze free living and I have to say the last 3 weeks have been pretty crap.
Everyone keeps saying to me oh you must be feeling amazing etc. is actually the short answer. For the last 3 weeks I have been ill in one way or another. First I had a very flat emotional week, then I got a stye that has still not fully recovered 2 weeks later and now my skin resembles that of a pubescent teenager! There is skin in there somewhere between the bumps and the dots!
To be honest it's been a bit frustrating and I've had moments of feeling very self conscious. However, on the weekend I was listening to a recording of one of my favourite mentors and was reminded about the fact that all we need to do is put in our order with the Universe and then just focus on feeling good and being happy every day knowing that it's on it's way!
So here is the the start of my 12 week challenge I wrote a list of things that I was committing to, but also goals of what I wanted to achieve in that time. These included becoming a size 8 and being in the best physical shape of my life.
Along my 12 week course, well 2 weeks ago to be exact, I also made the decision to become Vegan. The information I came across 2 weeks ago I believe was the Universe presenting ways and means for me to achieve the 'best physical shape' part of my goal. And in the past 2 weeks I have lost weight off areas of my body that I have never been able to lose weight from and I am feeling stronger and leaner than only 2 weeks!
However, it's not all sunshine and lollipops. I have also had the worst skin break out I've had in years! So to some this may seem like a bad thing, and yes you're absolutely right. It sucks. I have been getting a bit upset about it, but while I was listening to my mentor on the weekend I realised that my body is going through a healing process. I have put in my order to be in the best physical shape of my life and I guess that includes my skin as well. So in order for that to take place my skin needs to expel toxins and chemicals that have probably been trapped in there for years. With this clean living and healthy lifestyle it has now got the chance to get rid of it because it's not having to cope with the constant alcohol consumption and late nights, tiredness, and all the other lovely things that go with a partying lifestyle.
So despite the fact that I am not really enjoying looking at my face in the mirror for the past few days, I realise I have just got to ride out this little pimple storm. So now I am saying thank you body that you are doing what you are told and getting into the best shape of my life. I am well and I am getting better every day. Thank you for doing your job well and healing.
This principle can translate into any and every area of our lives. All we have to do is put in our command of what we want, trust and have no doubt it is coming in and carry on enjoying life. Sometimes circumstances or events arise in our lives that don't seem to be good or not what we were expecting, however as long as we have been feeling good and being happy then we just have to trust that this is part of the Universe's plan. Everything happening is in line with what I want because I know I have been feeling good and thinking good thoughts.
Doing this 12 week challenge is changing my life. I really am not missing alcohol or the lifestyle that comes with it in the slightest and to be honest I am a little bit surprised. Every other time I've had a 'month' off here and there I have gotten bored or felt left out from my friends. This time I'm gliding through and I've been going for longer than any other break or detox I've ever done.
For the past 10 months, my friend Dion and I have been building an online business and I'm certain that because I have been focusing on what I want to do with my life and my growing desire to achieve so much more, alcohol and the need to escape reality has vanished. Because now, I enjoy reality, and I feel so fulfilled with what I am doing that I don't need that release or escapism that alcohol provides. I'm not saying I'll never drink again, but my view on drinking and the frequency will forever be very different.
Starting our digital business has changed my life. Every day I'm growing and developing as a person and the desire to improve and make positive changes is a natural progression along the way. To achieve more than where you are now you need to become more than what you are now. Everything starts within. Get your inner story right and the outer story will follow.
