A BRILLIANT FILM

REMEMBER THE TITANS

I watched a fantastic film this afternoon called 'Remember the Titans'.  Denzel Washington, who I think is a marvellous actor, played the leading role of an American Football coach at high school level.  The film is essentially about racism in the south of the U.S.A in the 1970's, and depicts the qualities of this ground breaking head coach.  I won't go into the details of the film, in case you haven't seen it.

In spite of the experiences of my life, I still find it astonishing the attitude of so many people with regards to racial prejudice.  Racism derives from ignorance, and what amazes me about these people is their absolute refusal to accept all human beings as being equal.  They are so determined to remain ignorant and live their lives with bitterness and hatred.

From what I have learnt so far in my life, I know that a negative attitude will consume a person from the inside.  Bitterness, hatred, regret, guilt, jealousy, to name but a few, will destroy a persons mental, physical and spiritual health.  I understand that it is a question of belief, and beliefs can be passed down, generation by generation.  I see this clearly in the country that I live in, which is Sweden.  What I find astonishing, is the amount of young people with a racist attitude.  In Sweden, I know that they have just adopted the attitude of their parents, but this is not an excuse.  Especially as adults, we are responsible for own attitudes.

There is not one person walking this earth, that is better than another person.  From the Queen of England, to a homeless person begging in the street, all human beings were made equal in the eyes of Almighty God.  We are all born with the seeds of greatness within us.  The colour of a persons skin, does not matter to Almighty God.  We all need to see ourselves and others, as God sees us:  

We were ALL made in the image of Almighy God

We were ALL wonderfully made

We were ALL made to thrive

We are ALL the apple of His eye

Thinking in this way, means that you are in agreement with Almighty God.  Thinking in any other way, means that you are in agreement with the enemy.

Get into agreement with Almighty God by believing what He says about you.  What He says, applies to everyone.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, THINK BIG, AND FOLLOW YOUR HEART
