Have you ever been in a situation where you wish your self-confidence was at your best? Self-esteem is essential in almost every aspect of our lives, so why many people struggle to find it?
Low self-confidence can be deeply rooted from early childhood experiences, adverse life events, losing a job, loss of financial security, frustrating relationships, and other reasons.
Self-confidence is the way we feel about ourselves, and it plays a significant part of our emotional well-being.
As a child, I was overly concerned and sensitive about other people's opinions. I would give up at the first signs of frustration. I made excuses or placed blame on others. I withdrew socially. I experienced changing moods often.
It was when I completed my Bilingual Secretarial Studies and was ready to go out for jobs when I noticed that my lack of confidence was holding me back in my first job search.
I was actively job-hunting, but after a few rejections, I felt powerless. Negative feelings keep creeping up, and I needed to know how can I boost my self confidence fast?
Back in those days I read helpful books like Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway by Susan Jeffers and The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz. I would recommend them if you prefer books; but for now, I invite you to listen to this short, entertaining video.
I am still developing self-awareness which is the path to self-control until I eventually learn how I can boost my self confidence fast.
What about yourself? Are you working on developing self-confidence? How would you like to share them in the comments below?
With much appreciation
