What are your habits?
As I write this blog, I can hear the tv in my downstairs livingroom blaring loudly. I love tv. Movies, sitcoms etc. But recently I decided to do away with the television for a while. I'm replacing my old habit with new habits. Habits of reading, listening to audios, podcast and a score of other things.
I figured I'll set these new habits in place now so that I don't have to worry about them later on in life. Life can throw a lot of stuff at us. Especially nowadays with technology the way it is, we have so much information thrown at us everyday through social media that it can become overwhelming at times. And if we're not careful we'll find ourselves pushed this way and that by the winds of life, with no deliberate movement in the direction we want to go in life.
So what are your habits?
Picture your best self. In your mind's eye, right now picture the best possible version of yourself. What would that person be doing on a daily basis? What would be that person's habits, thoughts etc? Are these the activities that you are taking on a daily basis? For me they weren't, which is why I'm making a few changes. And I challenge you to do the same. Because have no doubt about it, your habits will shape your character (who you are), and ultimately shape your life.
