Be aware when you feel overwhelmed and stop. Allow the emotions to flow, when you acknowledge them you respect yourself and by holding that space you can process the emotions faster. It is ok to feel emotions, it is part of our nature.
Physical or mental space is very important; it is like a bubble of silence where you can take a deep breath in and relaxed. Use visualizations and transport yourself to a safe place.
3. Inner thoughts:
We need to lift up our energy to have more empowering thoughts. Keep a link of videos, podcasts that you can use when the negative talk doesn´t stop. Use a power pose for 2min to lower stress hormones so you feel more relaxed.
Acknowledge when you managed your emotions. You did it! Give yourself a pat on the back, well done! Congratulate your strength, yes you are strong. If you did this once, you can do it many times more, your energy is strong enough.
You managed to overcome overwhelming emotions, you can cope with them. Now, it is time to continue. You can keep doing what you were doing, or move to a different location. If you were overwhelmed by something/ someone and you realized that there is something in your life that needs to be taken care of with a support of a life coach, book a session at that moment and write down what happened so you remember it for the session.
