Beauty is the Resplendence of Truth

In this post, I'd like to introduce Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazakhstan. He is very popular in Russia and China, but the West is slow in discovering him. So if you haven't heard of him before, or more importantly, heard him yet, click on the following links. The vocal teachers and critics I've listened to on YouTube have no criticism to offer, other than to say what he does is not supposed to be possible.

There's a good reason for this... he's an alien! How else do you explain this?

Dimash helps make the point that beauty, splendour and the truth of meaning and harmony, are united as one in great art. I will insert a few of my favourite Dimash videos before continuing.

There is great art in Dimash's performances that evoke within many of us feelings of splendour, beauty and truth. Why is this?

Perhaps its because the essence of truth and meaning is not separate from beauty but is how beauty manifests itself. We experience beauty as the resonance of truth from within, rather than having it described to us from without. That’s why composition may be mathematically perfect but still needs the soul (or heart) to exude its beauty. And Dimash does this so wonderfully, bringing many of us to tears of joy while listening to the voice of an angel. As a grown man with very thick skin, I'm not ashamed to say I experience this cathartic release.

Outward form, per se, is necessary but it's never art without essence, any more than our mind can be whole without the engagement of our heart. Fine art does not describe harmony, it demonstrates it. This goes for all art of quality, including painting, music, and writing.

If your heart is stirred and moved to tears while reading a certain poem, listening to Dimash, or seeing a special painting, it’s because you're resonating with what is bigger than what your mind can appreciate on its own.

Pascal, the French medieval philosopher and mathematician once said, “the heart has its reasons, which reason knows not.” Of course, the mind is necessary for giving the heart its rational substance. In fact, there need be no separation between mind and heart (soul), only the union of our full being.

The mind doesn’t understand why we are moved, but the heart knows. Unfortunately, we often don’t open our hearts by allowing beauty to speak to us. Often this is the case with those who become too fixated on their ‘left brain.’

If we allow, beauty has the magic to lift our spirits to the harmonics of transcendence. However, if we continually identify with negative, judgmental attitudes, then that becomes our set point, making it difficult for beauty to resonate within, even if it's staring us in the face.

Great art, for those who are able to appreciate it, always inspires the human soul more than just entertaining it. It has a way of staying within us, after the moment. If it can lift us out of our negative funk, then we need to surround ourselves with its magic. We can raise ourselves by the friends we associate with and what ‘art’ we surround ourselves with. We need to ask if it is worthy of us, does it evoke beauty, harmony, and truth, or does it bring us down.

I hate to say it, but our culture is inundated with trash. In my opinion, much of our 'entertainment' of violent movies, news programs, insipid drama, social media, etc. have subpar levels of consciousness. (By the way, see my blog on How Consciousness Are You at https://digitalbloggers.com/arts-and-entertainment/how-conscious-are-you

Of course, there are different expressions of art, be it music, painting, poetry, dance, novels, etc. and many preferences within each unfolding. In a sense, we may see all art has its own beauty and splendour that resonates. I think most of us have an innate desire to express what only we can express in our own unique way, according to our aptitude, training, and dedication. As talented as Dimash is, still, he’s been honing his magic since he was five years old. How many of us are prepared to do that?

As for me, I started writing my ELYSIUM’S PASSAGE novel series six years ago. (www.elysiumspassage.com) and have learned a lot during this time and will continue to learn as long as I write. Even Dimash can get better… I don’t know how that’s possible, but I’m sure if you asked him, he would agree. I just found about him from a friend last week, and I must say, I find him very inspiring. When we are inspired by great art, it takes our own ‘vibe’ up so that we are able to produce more inspired works, even if it’s a craft. It also makes us better people, there is more light in us, and therefore we exude more light in our relationships and creations.

When I hear musicians and singers such as Dimach, or read writers like Shakespeare and Dostoyevsky, I want to learn whatever I can from them if only to have a better appreciation for their art or craft

There might be the temptation to be envious, but we must not let our egos spoil our gratitude for the lives they bless us with.

CS Lewis, the author of The Last Battle in the Chronicles of Narnia, used the phrase "come further up, come further in.”  I made that the theme for my ELYSIUM’S PASSAGE, novel series. As my hero, James climbs further up the Mountain he comes to a point where he transcends himself and goes further within to understand his life and most of all, understand himself.

Dimash inspires me to be the best writer I can be that I might further inspire readers to venture further within their souls as they ascend to higher octaves of existence. The higher our spiritual frequency (sans ego), the further we can venture within the divine magnificence of our souls. Likewise, we get to know our Selves, our Christ, our Atman, our Buddha (as you prefer), as we venture to the mountain top.

Dimash helps me to ascend the mountain from his unique angle, as with other great artists, writers, painters with their perspectives... and yes, athletes too.

Review on HIGHEST NOTE EVER SUNG MALE - Dimash Kudaibergen Unforgettable Day (Gakku Live) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqP9jY1DgQk

This the first in a series of five Elysium narrations regarding a young British philosopher named James Phillips who finds himself living in an altered state of reality while still remaining on earth.

After experiencing a near-fatal fall while climbing to the summit of a remote mountain in the Andes, James awakens in a new dimension. He soon encounters two mysterious beings who provide him with a very different perspective on the nature of his existence. Over the next year, before his body recovers from the coma, he is challenged to re-examine his understanding of life’s meaning and purpose far beyond anything he previously believed or could believe.

An engaging and sometime surreal adventure with intimations of impending romance, the narrative explores the most important questions about life, death, reality, and our ultimate destiny.

The Plains of Elysium (Champs-Élysées) was described by Homer, Hesiod, Virgil, and many other poets as the paradisiac afterlife realm reserved for heroes. As the title suggests, this is about a journey through a passage that leads towards Elysium’s exciting realm of existence.

The following comments are excerpts from among the first readers including a number of Amazon five star reviews. To read the full reviews, go to READER REVIEWS on www.elysiumspassage.com or directly at https://digitalbloggers.com/arts-and-entertainment/reader-reviews

"A delightful mix of fantasy, reality, conjecture, and humour; Mr. Meyers draws the reader into the story with a gentle narrative that captures the imagination, leaving one anxious to get to the next page drawing you into his exceptional world.”

"Quietly, gently, and without imposition, the Author unfolds the pages, creating an intricate, interlocking bridge spanning the chasm between mind and heart. Renewing, refreshing, restoring. In my bereavement, it was vigil and light…"

“Excellently written with an exceedingly deep understanding of this world and the next. The characters are very well written and engaging. I can't wait to complete this book!"

“Takes the reader on both a philosophical and spiritual journey, a journey that at times is both disquieting and tranquil. James, a British Philosopher can be irreverent and caustic, traits that should have left me cringing, but instead made me laugh out loud. Elysium’s Passage is a fun, enlightening and remarkable book.”

“This is a masterful fantasy, becoming a real possibility, as the reader is drawn into the story. The Summit leaves you anxious for the next book in the series, yet also leaves you totally satisfied with the world you have just visited. Genius! An exciting, yet calming, experience that is not to be missed."

"There was hardly a page on which I did not find at least one sentence worthy of hi-lighting for future reference. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed the main character, James, whose personality and passionate verbal exchanges with the other characters, kept me coming back for more. I am reading the book for a second time while I wait for the next one in this series to be made available."

“N.G. Meyers has clearly put a great deal of research and thought into what the afterlife may look like and I like his perspective. It’s an altogether welcoming and exciting vision. The book gives one a great deal to think about and a reassuring confidence that the end of our lives is truly the beginning of life in the next. I highly recommend it."

"I am really enjoying your book, it’s fantastic! It is so incredible and diversified that I can’t really explain it to other people, so what I say is just read this book. Thank you so much for the blessings that you’ve given the world!"

“The humour interjected into a serious discussion makes me laugh out loud. Totally unexpected....l may be in the presence of at least a master, if not a genius. A fair ride into reality... seeking that which is unseen, yet absolutely real.”

“An engaging story of adventure embracing man's deepest desire to search for meaning and purpose, N.G. Meyers takes the reader on an adventurous thought-provoking journey. This book has substance. It is a perfect blend of adventure and fantasy combined with spiritual philosophy. It ignited my imagination. The author magically weaves a good story laced with wit and humor together with deep philosophical wisdom. This book has it all!”

“An evolution in thought is triggered by many fresh philosophical themes which could inspire readers to re-think their reality and former ideologies that have dictated their lives… the author fires readers’ imaginations to view what could be possible when spirit vacates the body.”

“This is the book spiritual seekers have been waiting for. For me, it granted a great read as well as increased inspiration to live every day with a heightened sense of purpose. I highly recommend it.

“The Summit is capable of hooking readers and luring them to search for Book 2 to discover more about Dr. Philip’s surreal trek into the mysterious unknown universe. This thick book is well worth the read and to share…”

“Mind-blowing statements and speculation (‘…everyone is a non-physical thought form conceived in the Mind of God, preserved for all eternity because God’s thoughts never die…’). Many will find Meyers’ journey up the Mountain intriguing—and possibly even life-changing.” (BLUEINK REVIEW)

“In its effort to grapple with fundamental questions about the meaning of life, it raises questions that have echoed throughout the ages, including about where we come from, where we are going, who we are.”  (CLARION REVIEW)
