The following pictures were taken on my14 acres of land where I have two cabins located about 60 km SW of Calgary in the foothills. It has an older cabin at one end and a newer log cabin at the other which my three parnters and I built entirely by hand after cutting the trees down. I've uploaded a few pictures of each cabin and surrounding area. At times I write out there but mostly I read, work or hike on our property and the surrounding hills. Also, its a great place for BBQ parties with friends. The landscape photo above is from the west cabin deck
The "cabin boys," just after we completed the cabin about 1994. Cut down the trees, peeled the bark and then got down to the real work of building, log by log.
