'Emancipate yourself from mental slavery'  Bob Marley

We are experiencing a time of global censorship like never before in this world where powerful corporations and governments control ideology and the flow of information. We are all familiar with Big Tech's propensity to eliminate what doesn't fit their narrative. Even on the local level, many are afraid to express their opinion when they hold views that might not be popular in their community. No one wishes to be shamed, bullied or accused of being 'racist' because they will not compromise their convictions.

When a society fears this miasmic judgmentalism, it becomes seriously dystopic. A few minutes on Twitter will show the extent of such egoic depravity.

Its seems the thought police are out there everywhere with their so-called, 'politically correct' agendas. And so it seems there is little tolerance for diversity of views when opinions are expressed that people don't wish to hear.

And yet, as George Orwell stated, liberty requires that everyone have a right to express themselves and when this is taken away by force or social ostracism, the soul withers. We all have a basic need to express our convictions, values, opinions and creativity. But if we are forced to parrot only what the powerful want us to say and do, then tyranny soon follows. First with the mind, then with our lives. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm in most countries in the world today.

Even 'free' countries are becoming increasingly enslaved by mind control. But this couldn't happen if the populace didn't first give away their freedom to those who wished to rule over them. Often the pretext for taking control is done in the name of 'safety'. Sound familiar? Other times it's done by appealing to victimhood or promises of equity entitlement. Hitler and Stalin first gained power by using ploys such as these.

What all tyrants have in common is unbridled censorship on their subjects. Once the masses are no longer permitted to have a voice, there can be no opposition and therefore no liberty.

So, why would the masses allow themselves to be muzzled (or masked) by giving away their power? There are a number of reasons, generally with fear lurking in the background. And if you don't fear the authorities, they will give you something to fear. But since it's the opposite of love, it cannot last. Since perfect love casts out fear, fear is weakened and ultimately defanged where love's light becomes present.

But I think the underlying reason for fear is a lack of self-awareness. In other words, not knowing our Selves as being powerful divine creations of love and light. Much of our education system teaches us that we are an aggregation of bio-mass, that is born into nature for a brief time and then dies to be no more.

A conscious human being knows who they are and so don't need someone to tell them what they should think. However, those cowering to the herd will do and think whatever others want them to because they have given over their power to them. These don't mind censorship so much because they have few convictions with little concern about thinking for themselves, or valuing their freedom. Many of these want to be told what to think so they don't have to think for themselves, but just trust the authorities instead.

An independent person who values freedom doesn't need to be told what they should want. These are generally the wealth creators in society who won't be beholden to those in power. On the other hand, a weak and fearful person is more concerned with their security and so are likely to be compliant with their masters' wishes. We often witness this in welfare states that lack personal self-initiative. Generally, they'll say or do what they are told because their survival basic needs are being met.

Those who are more independently minded are more likely to know what they want out of life and so don't expect authorities to tell them what they need or should want. And so, brave souls, we need to vociferously resist censorship.

To reinforce the above, I've included a short excerpt from Elysium's Passage: The Summit, that discusses the importance of knowing what we want in life. Such a person is not so easily censored from saying and doing what they should want since they already know who and what they are. And who they are about being free.

‘As Mo and I have often remarked about the world,’ Eli said, ‘few people seem to know what they genuinely want. Rather, they tend to drift along mindlessly waiting for others to tell them what they need. It’s why the world can be such an unhappy place; not many bother to examine the depths of their hearts to find what they are looking for in life?’

‘Further to this,’ I said, ‘isn’t it interesting how many seem to know what others should want. Governments, religions, employers, family, friends, and advertisers; everyone presumes to know what’s best for others. But what this often means is what they want from others, not for others. It may sound a bit cynical, but I think this is all about power and servitude, and yet in its own twisted way, this seems to work for the world.’

‘Think of the advantages,’ Eli said. ‘This makes everything so much easier. No one has to go to the effort of discovering who they are or what they want since that’s already determined. If anyone wanted to find out what provides lasting satisfaction and fulfilment, they first need to come to know their true Self. But who has the time or inclination for that?’

‘It takes much courage, honesty and determination to discern what the heart truly longs for,’ Mo said, ‘especially when the separated ego-mind keeps screaming for all the things it supposedly needs. Power, prestige, gratification, vengeance, pain, and suffering are among the insanities of the unhinged mind, none of which relate to the authentic desires of the heart.

‘All these do is hold one in bondage to the ego-self. This is precisely what the ego demands as it derives its bogus existence from the external illusions and idols we allow it to create for us. Yet there is no inward peace with any of these. And so, the search goes on without lasting satisfaction.'

In conclusion, let me emphasize again we all require liberty to fulfil our most basic expression who we are; free and uncensored. Anything less is to not know who we are. With regard to this, listen to Bob Marley's freedom/redemption song.

... and if that's not enough, how about Lesley Gore's passion for freedom. Indeed you don't own me, BIG BROTHER

Elysium's Passage is a series of seven novels regarding a young British philosopher named James Phillips who finds himself living in an altered state of reality while still remaining on earth.

After experiencing a near-fatal fall while climbing to the summit of a remote mountain in the Andes, James awakens in a new dimension. He soon encounters two mysterious beings who provide him with a very different perspective on the nature of his existence. Over the next year, before his body recovers from the coma, he is challenged to re-examine his understanding about life’s meaning and purpose far beyond anything he previously believed or could believe.

An engaging and sometime surreal adventure with intimations of impending romance, the narrative explores the most important questions about life, death, reality and our ultimate destiny.

The Plains of Elysium (Champs-Élysées) was described by Homer, Hesiod, Virgil and many other poets as the paradisiac afterlife realm reserved for heroes. As the title suggests, this is about a journey through a passage that leads towards Elysium’s exciting realm of existence.

“Mind-blowing statements and speculation (‘…everyone is a non-physical thought form conceived in the Mind of God, preserved for all eternity because God’s thoughts never die…’). Many will find Meyers’ journey up the Mountain intriguing—and possibly even life-changing.” (BLUEINK REVIEW)

“In its effort to grapple with fundamental questions about the meaning of life, it raises questions that have echoed throughout the ages, including about where we come from, where we are going, who we are.”  (CLARION REVIEW)
