1. You can't wait for the weekend to arrive.

Your working week has no meaning. You dread Mondays and cannot wait for Friday to come around. You are counting the days to the weekend. These are sure signs that you are trading your valuable time for money because you feel you have to, not because you want to. You are unfulfilled in your current job, and experience minimal or no enjoyment.

2. You can't stand the culture and work politics anymore.

The culture and politics in your workplace have become toxic to you. You have to be careful what you say, and who you say it to. It creates unnecessary stress in your life, leaving you feeling more and more isolated. You may have learned how to weave your way through this up until now, but you don't want to anymore.

3. You don't want to share what you do.

Your job or career is never at the forefront during conversations; in fact, it is somewhere in the background, silently hoping it won't come up. You know your demeanor will change once you start talking about it. There is no excitement or pride in sharing what you do.

4. You are not your true self at work.

You feel as though the real you, cannot express itself at work. It can be a lonely place when you don't have anyone to share your values, ideas, imaginations with. You would rather engage in a meaningful way, through ideas, dreams, and inspirations rather than repetitive, parroted conversations passed on through the news, or what someone said. 

5. You have been there a long time.

This was going to be a stepping stone, something part-time on your way to your dream lifestyle, but somehow it ended up being your life. Now your job has become repetitive; you are just going through the motions, day by day, year by year, slowly grinding you down.

6. You feel a lack of energy.

A part of you seems to just die at work. Your whole energy is down. But when you leave work and get involved with hobbies, activities, and people you enjoy, you light up. 

7. You dread Sunday afternoons/evenings.

At the back of your mind, you know what's coming. Work. And just the thought of it makes you shudder, spreading dread throughout your body.
