Discipline Counts
Discipline:
The ability to focus and put in the work and effort required to achieve a specific purpose. In other words set a goal and work consistently and persistently towards that goal such as:
- Get in shape and lose weight
- Improving our mind set
- Eliminating a bad habit or addiction
- Career development
- Business development
- Relationship development
To achieve any of the above, which are common goals most of us, at some stage or other will work towards, we need to have a plan. Most of us fail or quit trying to reach a goal, as we do not have a strategic plan to begin our journey. One of the biggest mistakes is we try to take huge first steps IE take " Get In Shape And Lose Weight " . So many time's we set off by plunging straight into strenuous exorcise and cut our food intake down by 1/2 . 95% of us with this type of plan will quit with in a few short weeks.

My experience is to take small steps towards the goal :
Plan the ideal fitness regime and food intake.
- How many times a week do we need to work out
- Find a balanced nutritional diet we want to reach
- Set a time limit to achieve this plan
I have used this example because this is how I planned and achieved.
- I needed to work out 4 times a week for 1 hour doing HIIT ( Hi Intensity Training) .
- I needed to lose 16 Pounds in weight
- I wanted to be well on my way with in a 3 month period.
I started by walking fast for 10 minutes each morning, ( I knew where I could join a HIIT class) 10 minutes would make sure I was tiring and out of breath. Within two weeks I was up to 15 minutes morning and night, by just increasing slightly each day. I then found an easy class that did circuit training twice a week for 30 minutes , I joined, after two months, I moved on to join the HIIT class and replaced the circuit training with two 1 hour sessions each week, this was now getting hard, but I was getting fitter and stronger. After 1 year I stepped up to 3 times a week I have found this is a satisfactory level for me , my blood pressure, cholesterol and sugars are all at good levels I eat and drink in moderation and gain no weight. Therefore I have adjusted my goal on HIIT to 3 times a week from 4.
At the same time I started to exorcise, I looked at my diet and to start ,alcohol was reduced down to just Friday and Saturday evenings. ( I was participating 5 days a week ) After 2 months I started to cut out sugar in my diet, IE biscuits, cake, ice cream etc. After slowly using this method after 1 year I had lost my 16 pounds I felt better in my self and was much fitter, life was more fulfilling, I was happier.
Here I am 4 years later and I still keep to the same fitness regime and diet, I can eat a little more biscuits and chocolate but I keep it moderate to ensure no average wight gain. We can achieve the same in all areas of life we can work in a career and build a business in our spare time with the end goal of working for ourselves, just by taking small steps forward.
I recommend to bring Discipline into your life, try a small step in the right direction, make sure you have a plan to work to, I found my chances of succeeding by this method were very high.
I also decided to "Change My Life" to be happy and fulfilled by achieving my full purpose, I have a property business and an online business. I have learnt to serve others ( as I hope I am doing now ) respect others for what they are trying to achieve no matter how big or small their ambition. I work on my attitude each day and look to help anyone I can on a daily basis.
