Setting goals and reaching them are two completely different things. There is a reason why most people do not keep their New Year's promises or reach the goals they set for the year. The reasons may be many to why many fail, for some people motivation ends, for others are the fear of achieving the most obstacles. Fortunately, there are many easy ways to get to succeed. The difference between achieving their goals depends largely on ourselves and the way we think of it. As much as 80% is psychology and 20% is about the strategy we use.
We all have different areas of life we want to change, it can be our close relationships, career, finances, health or lifestyle. We all have something we wish we went to the next level of life, though we have not really got it yet. We can apologize for why it did not happen or we may also sabotage ourselves to avoid failures. Regardless of occasions, we have not cracked the code how to succeed. In this post we will write about how to create a strategy that will help you actually achieve the goals you set up.
1. Do not just think of your goals - write them down.
It's so simple, many of us do not take paper and pencil and sit down and start typing, it can be in a notebook or in your diary. The important thing is that you actually write them down. Think about why you want to make this change? When you do, you will also come across what you are dissatisfied with in your life.
2. Be detailed. What does this change mean to you?
Ask detailed questions to your self and be clear why exactly this change is so important to you. As we know the bay's driving force behind our actions, we can also create clearer strategies to succeed. To keep up with the plan, several Coaching Gurus, among others, Tony Robbins recommend to keep a diary of our progress and write down every night what we are grateful for.
3. Choose the right mood - your state is important.
Do you remember that 80% was psychology? It can be challenging sometimes, perhaps quite boring. The key lies in how you properly use your thoughts, not only to be positive but also smart. Breaking a habit is easy but requires some effort. It requires us to focus on what we want to achieve and that we do every effort to boost ourselves every day. What habits do you have that strengthens you and your stubbornness? How can you boost your creativity and willpower? It can be every morning to follow a certain routine to play the best song at the highest volume.
4. Repeat, immerse and continue.
Repeating is the basis of learning and learning new. The more you practice something, the better you will be. If you really want to become a champion, you need to take it into your system. When you feel that you sweat a bit and you're outside your comfort zone, you're on the right track. You may feel the fear and that's okay. Sometimes we need to take the fear´s hand and jump anyway- That is what we call a life experience...
We need meaningful goals, it doesn´t matter if your goals may seem small. If it's about getting through this day, or just the next hour. If you are to climb MT Everest or become a CEO of a big company. It's about having a goal that inspires you to actually make that little extra. Meaningful goals sets us in the right mood and it creates a cascade of feelings that make us act and take action. Our goals become attractive and we are attracted to them. Meaningful goals make us grow and develop while inspiring others.
