Is Online Marketing Really Hard?

Just a few weeks ago, I started to advertise online. Internet marketing? I never did this before in my life, but I got so inspired by my mentors (Six Figure Mentors) that I just had to try it. And I must tell you it’s not even that difficult as I thought!

First of all, I would like to let you know that I’m not very tech savvy when it comes to setting up links, websites or anything like that. I mean I have always worked for a company where everything was provided for me… But now I realize that there is a wealth of information on the web and especially the Digital Business Lounge (DBL) has been of great, with training videos and pre-defined options!

Second of all, I started with the easiest (at least that's what I think) way of advertising, which is banner ads on Bing! I was able to set up the ads quickly and was therefore also able to quickly adjust to what was working and what was not! One of the big difficulties that I’m still facing is the conversion tracking, but I’m confident I’ll figure it out, as I’m working with the Bing and the DBL support team, to figure out why my leads are not tracking properly. Now you might say OH S*** I don’t understand when you say leads and conversion tracking etc., don’t worry I didn’t know any of this either, but you will learn!

Third of all, it’s not at all about the skills you bring to the table. As I have shared before, I never did online marketing before! So, what it comes down to is YOU! What I mean by that is:

• are you willing to learn
• are you willing to do the work
• are you willing to be uncomfortable and work through your fears
• are you willing to try something completely different without knowing the outcome
• are you willing to work on yourself

Those are the questions you need to ask yourself first because otherwise, you will not commit to your business nor to your own growth... and it will get hard and you will give up! There are times when doubt comes in of course, but it’s how you deal with it that makes all the difference!
