People Who Follow Their Dreams

I Quit My Job - Prince Ea (Video)

Sadly, in the world we live in, the people who follow their dreams are very few. I believe that it is better to have tried than to live with the regret of never having done it.

Why should you waste time living someone else’s life is a question you should ask yourself.

As a child, you have been asked many times this question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Are you, right now, who you want to be, what you dreamed you'd be, doing what you always wanted to do? Be honest.

2013 – The Eye Opening Year

That year, in January, with not even a slight notice, the security company I worked for closed its doors leaving me without a job. My last duty as a guard was at the Australian Embassy during the renovation of their new metal walls.

I then found myself at the welfare office to be able to survive. Bills were piling up and at one point, it became impossible for me to afford anything. I was eating so little, on a budget of 5 euros ($6) a day.

What was I to become? I had to act but for days I would think over and over about my best options, sitting on my couch.

I thought about the possibilities, I even worked a little doing chores for elderly people in their home to be able to get some normal food, but it wasn’t every day.

I tried to get another job but each time the door closed. I was so tired of the long hours of doing the same routine and not being able to enjoy life to its fullest.

In some cases, you wind up accomplishing triumphs that are not rewarding - victories that have come through the detriment of things that were significantly more profitable to you.

In the event that your stepping stool is not inclining toward the right fence, each progression you take gets you to the wrong place, no matter what you do.

For those who know me or follow me by now, you know that I am a big believer in the law of attraction as well as subconscious reprograming. So each day, I would close my eyes and meditate for hours until one day, it came…

People Who Follow Their Dreams

I had an answer, a crazy one…surely for those who knew me at the time. But I knew with certitude that this was the way I had to go.

You cannot realize the capacity you have to be able to imagine and create in your mind what you want even if you cannot see physically. People who follow their dreams do. This is based on a principle of your subconscious’ natural power, and that all your visions are created two times.

Meaning that at first, you create a mental imaginary story, and in second you fabricate a physical creation step by step. It works with anything in life.

Your mind is such a powerful weapon that when you set it up the right way, the physical conception follows the mental, just as a structure takes form by means of a blueprint.

Start With The End In Mind

Don’t ask me how or why, I just followed my vision where it wanted to lead me…to a city called Vienna, Austria.

I wasn’t speaking German, I knew no one out there, and how could I ever take such risk? But I didn’t care. I had to find out for myself. I had to follow my intuition or as I like to call it - Mastery.

People who follow their dreams, like me, always know what they want…for me, it was to have a life of freedom working my own hours and being able to travel the world at my own leisure.

So, instead of the usual bottom to the top thing, like you and I are taught since childhood, I started with the end in mind, as Stephen Covey says in his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

I got rid of everything I had and got into an international bus, 13 hours later, on a morning, I found myself in Vienna, Austria; I got myself a small room in a homestay, and started to look around.

Then one day, a month after my arrival, I found work in a sightseeing tour company…Big Bus Vienna.

What do I mean by beginning with the end in mind? Well, each day I would visualize and imagine myself where I wanted to be and worked my way from there, doing a task or whatever project in the desired direction and destination to make things happen. I was proactive.

You are the leader of your own life. You create your own destiny and secure the future you envision – Stephen Covey

I worked there for a little more than 2 years, learning how to sell, I always told myself that I couldn’t do something  like this, that it wasn’t for me, I thought I didn’t have the ability to do it until I became one of the best in the field.

Today, I am very grateful for this learning experience and the people I worked with.

Working in security was not my cup of tea. I found another avenue. You can too. All you have to do is to make it happen day in and day out, step by step, and even tip toe if you must. Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.

Mistakes Are Learning Curves

Manage your life, find your purpose, and check what your priorities are, meaning the things that come first in your life.

And never consider mistakes as mistakes; consider them more as learning curves. You are different, so what, see your differences as strengths, not weaknesses.

Life is a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table.

Make a big effort to imagine who you are and what you desire in life, and then take the steps one at a time. Be one of those people who follow their dreams.

It is because of all of this that today I have chosen to be an Online Entrepreneur & Lifestyle Coach.

And now, I will ask you one more time, are you, right now, who you want to be, what you dreamed you would be, doing what you always wanted to do? Be honest with yourself and follow your dream.
