time for change at 40 part 3

At 40 I knew I had to change my path, I was working closely with a man in a company who was causing me a lot of pain. I had equity in this company and the first goal was to retrieve my equity. The next was what was I going to do !!. This is where I learned a little about self development.I started to read and study "the power of your subconscious mind" by Joseph Murphy. This made me resourceful and started my journey. 

3 steps to create more

1) Find a business 

How do you find a business that you can work ?. I will give you personal experience that happened to me. I was working in a company for 10 years that stocked products and sold to other business's B2B. this company also fabricated some product lines. Therefore I looked to buy a business that was a going concern that did a similar thing, ie i used my skills I had to target a business that had the same matrix.

2) How to finance a business

Where and how do you find finance ? The place I started was to ask a friend if he had any contact in a bank. He gave me a number of an area manager in a national bank. I set a meeting up with this manager and he explained to me how to finance and what I needed to do. At this time for me there were only traditional banks , in todays world you can google and you have a long list. But you must take action. If you don't ask you won't get resourceful so ASK !!

3) Where do I find a business 

For me the internet had only just started to rise. For you today google; looking to buy a business ! you will find various options study them , Look for business's that fit in with your past work skills. Then contact the owner go and look at the concern its like buying a house you will know if it feels right when you walk through the door. When you find the business whats the next steps ? see part 4

I took massive action will you ?

I at 58 I closed down my business, due to market conditions at that time ( retail) was having a massive mind shift ie the internet, discount stores and market dilution. I wanted to start another business , I looked at the power of the internet and found it, because I knew I am capable of succeeding in any thing I put my mind to. WHY ? because I read " the slight edge"  by Jeff Olson .
