Love what you do

Its natural to wonder how you can escape the nine to five work routine of doing the same thing day in day out. I was constantly thinking up and trying out new ideas for making money based on social media. The trouble was, I kept finding myself getting caught in the 'get rich quick schemes' which just werent set up for a long term sustainable income. Also, I found that trying lots of different methods for a little while then giving up, meant I just wasnt passionate about what I was doing, and only half heartedly working on mulitple projects that I didnt really care about.

Be real

I was on youtube and I stumbled upon an advert from a guy called Stuart Ross who successfully hooked me long enough not to make me not skip the ad! Rather than preaching about how to make X amount of money online in X amount of time, he was quite open about what you could expect from making a living online. He also highlighed the importance of enjoying whatever project it is you are working on. At the end of the day work doesnt feel like work when you love what you do

Then it occurred to me that I just needed to change my approach rather than going round in circles .

  • Work towards a single project (a lot of knowledge in one area is more useful than little knowledge in mulitple areas)
  • Make sure whatever youre doing, you would do it for free, its important to love what you do to stay motivativated
  • Learn - DO - teach    If you pass on a skill you learn, it will help reinforce it

Stuart interested me by explaining how it takes a well structured method to make a successful business online. He went on to highlight the significance of working smart rather than hard. I could personally relate to that because I seemed to be spending hours putting time and effort into lots of different business ideas and getting nowhere.

Thanks for taking the time to read this blogg. Here's a link to a 7 day video series that helped me; it may be of interest to you.
