Why you need a platform partner.

As I neared the time to act on my decision to open my online business, I knew I did not want to start it up from scratch. With the advances in the internet and with software, why would I want to? Let look at some problems with going it on your own:

1) Very few people actually know how to write code to build their own software platform.This process is very skill intensive and most do not have the desire, capability, or the time to learn it. Since this complicated step is not a practical avenue to pursue, for this reason, many who will start a business online cannot go this route.

2) This route is also expensive.  Why not use the money for other costs associated with start up? Once a highly skilled entrepreneur with code knowledge has built their own software and got it to function, it is not over yet. Testing the project in Beta in a live environment is time consuming and costly. It is fraught with code errors as well. Alternatively, buying existing software from other companies to build the platform costs a lot too and comes with compatibility issues plus knowing all the software that will be needed is another headache in of itself. 

3) You are in it all on your own. When things go wrong or when encouragement is needed, there is no one else there, only you are there. There is no accountability either to help spur the entrepreneur onward toward success. Learning the ropes by yourself is not wise at all in the online business world; the cost is steep.   Trying to go it alone with a scratch built company usually results in revenue being impeded and causing the new company to become a part of the statistics that monitor the numbers of failed online companies. A scratch built platform is impossibly hard to build, incredibly expensive and is a very lonely journey. I no longer wonder, " I need an online business partner?" Actually, I consider it a necessity.
