Fact: The Internet Economy is evolving and more people are starting to profit from becoming online business owners. But how do you wade through all the information out there to simply learn what works?
Let me introduce you the 5 simple tips that will help your online business boom.
1. Target your Adverts
To target your ads effectively you must first define your ideal consumer.
- Who are they and what do they do?
- What are their problems, and how are you their solution?
- Where do they hangout? i.e social media, google, youtube?
- What is stopping them from obtaining what they want?
Once you know whom they are and how you can help them you can target your ads to the right people, and most importantly in the right place. Work smarter not harder.
2. Website Design to Generate Leads
Now you have engaged your target audience you need to create a website that draws them in and allows you to generate leads, leads are defined as the initiation of consumer interest or inquiry into your products or services. It is no good driving internet traffic to your page if you have no sure way of engaging them with your products, 55% of viewers spend less than 15 seconds on a website. The most common tool is known as a landing page, this allows you to acquire the consumer's name and email address before allowing them access to your content or hidden higher value content. This is a great strategy to build good quality leads as you definitely know they are interested, and it allows you to follow up with them in the future even if the do not engage with your site or product then and there. A great tool you can use is called Simple Lead Capture. Remember that even though you may get a lot of people to your site it doesn’t magically stay in their mind once they click off your page. Using a landing page allows you store their details and build up a list of leads that you can engage with one-on-one.
3. List Building
Now you have your list of potential customers it’s time to start building a relationship with them. At the beginning of your relationship scepticism is high and trust is low. This is where an auto-responder come in as a life saver as it send an email out the subscriber as soon as they have submitted their details, and you can schedule follow-up emails to keep them interested, whilst keeping them updated on your products, offers, events etc. a great tool you can use is AWeber. Did you know that on average people have to see an offer at least 7 times before they will make a purchase!? Using an auto-responder to stay in touch with your list is a great way to keep exposing people to your product and remind them of how you can be the solution to their problem.
I strongly believe the most important tip is to always provide value. Value is defined as; the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. When you provide value you also build trust, by using emails to communicate with your customers you start to build a more trusting relationship. People will start to appreciate the valuable content you are providing and in turn believe that you are the solution to their problem. These strategies mean people are more willing to engage with your business or product. Providing value can be done in a number of ways by presenting specific content such as:
- Product Offers
This willingness to go out of your way to give away this information will separate you from the crowd.
5. Promote Products you Believe in and are of Good Quality
Whether this is a product of your own or someone else's, you must firstly believe in it and ensure it is a high-quality product. If you try and promote something you are not passionate about you are going to lose interest very fast. If the product is not of quality or value that is going to make it almost possible to promote. Think about it logically, would you buy something someone else wasn't raving about and looks like it was developed in the back end of nowhere, probably not? You want to draw people in with passion, optimism, knowledge and quality. It is that simple.
