Trust the Journey

Today I played a game on Facebook, there was a post with the note to screengrab the image below, the image was flashing a whole range of different options, some I saw were “I am slaying”, “I am a masterpiece”, “I am grateful’, “I am hungry”, etc., and my result was, as can be seen “I am trusting the journey”.  True words for me.

Affirmations in the esoteric sense are generally not my thing, but, I am learning to listen to messages from a variety of different sources.

According to a quick Google search, “trust” is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something and “journey” is an act of travelling from one place to another.  So have I have a firm belief in the reliability, truth and ability or people to assist me in travelling from one place to another.

How does this relate to me?  I am becoming an entrepreneur which requires a lot of trust; in yourself, your mentors, the processes you are following, the people you are dealing with, systems you are using, the journey … to name a few.

I am taking a journey, travelling from one place to another.  Currently I am employed half day, in a job I fortunately love, journeying to fulfil my calling.  My calling is to fulfil a vision which is to earn enough money and have enough time so that I have the Freedom to Embrace My Calling.  In a nutshell, my calling is to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Trust in this Journey is huge for me, because I believe the journey attached to my calling.  According to the Merriam-Webster-Dictionary, the definition of a calling is 1 : a strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine influence. 2 : the vocation or profession in which one customarily engages.  I relate to the former because my calling involves conviction of divine influence, my belief in God and what He created me for.

“Anyone that ever accomplished anything did not know how they were going to do it.  They only knew they were going to do it.”  - Bob Proctor

After much searching, I have found mentors I trust.  My mentors have developed systems and processes that I trust.  Why do I trust them?  Doctor Phil McGraw is well known for saying “the best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour”.  My mentors are successful in their own right, and have been for many years.   The systems and processes are tried and tested by not only  my mentors themselves many an entrepreneur under their leadership.  I have seen through others in this Tribe that with hard work, commitment, focus and dedication, this journey works.  It delivers the opportunity to build a life and a lifestyle of flexibility and freedom.

Are you in that position?  Do you have mentors you trust?  Do you have mentors at all?  How about your systems and processes?  Can you Trust the Journey?
