My only sister died at age 74.
She had survived cancer for 28 years but lived in fear of a reoccurence & the cancer did reappear.
After her last surgery she decided she no longer had a desire to live. She prayed every day to go home to be with the Lord. It was very sad but a wonderful learning experience for we who gathered around her with 24 hour care 7 days a week in her own home. She survived for 6 months after her last surgery.
During the long 6 months we had a lot of time for talks. One thing she said to me was, that, all her life, she worried too much about her figure.
Recalling these words, I used them as my excuse to not worry about my body so much. I ate many desserts, exercised less & stayed off the scales. We both always knew how we were dressed on the inside was far more important than how we looked.
Now that I've come to my senses I want to be strong & healthy. People that are healthy usually do look good anyway.
Strong people can help others be strong just as healthy people can share what they do to be healthy. Wealthy people can teach others how they became wealthy. Wonderful opportunities are every where. BE AWARE.
Often attractive people who are healthy have more exciting energy. They do more things have more sensational experiences & a lot more fun.
Having observed this over the years, I look up to people who go before me to see what they are doing to achieve the results they achieve. I still want to be a strong me & want to be free. EVERY ONE ELSE IS TAKEN.
Being a STRONG individual will lead to good results in all areas that I exercise my strength. If we don't use it we loose it. So let's use our beautiful minds & attractive bodies to keep everything working. Remember they are perfect as they are. When we can improve them we will.
My faithful exercise has been golfing 3 times a week as it is as a sport I can do & not just watch until later years. Dave has a 94 year old wonderful friend who still golfs & golfs well.
I have a brother that is legally blind that golfs on the blind tour & enjoys his physical,mental, emotional & social well being inspite of his disability.
I have decided my body needs to move more on my non golf days so I will walk to the corner to keep everything working. I will continue with my stretches & some yoga.
My 97 year old neighbour in Florida still walks our block with her walker. She is such an inspiration for all of us to get out there & do something we love to become better beings.
When we desire a strong body, much energy & lots of fun we need to remember also we are what we eat & drink.
We have been introduced to a wellness Doctor who teaches a lot of prevention & getting people's health back. To be a good example for our next generation, I'm striving to be the best me I can be.
