In the last article about mindfulness, we have introduced tool number one, meditation. I'm glad that a few of you, my lovely readers, took a chance to experiment with Headspace. I hope their Meditation and Mindfulness techniques have been a valuable guide to healthier, happier and more enjoyable life.

Tool №2 Visualisation
Success and happiness are not accidents that just happen to some people and not the others - they are predictable results created by deliberate ways of thinking and acting.
The changes that matter most are more often changes in perception than changes in the world outside us. And we can change the way we perceive the world. You can reprogram your mind to make you a happier, more confident and powerful person.
What would it be like if you woke up one morning and a miracle had happened - your life had become exactly what you wanted it to be?
Vividly imagine it and answer these questions:
- How would you know that the miracle has happened?
- What would you see?
- What would you hear?
- What would you feel inside?
- What changes would have happened in your career, your relationships, your finances, your health?
If you play with the idea of miracle and practice visualising it, you are going to make this dream come true.
Just as a gardener plants seeds and patiently waits for them to grow every time you work on meditation and visualisation you are planting positive suggestions in your mind that will grow into powerful new ways to operate your brain.
The reason you are not yet living the life of your dreams is that you are wasting so much of your time and energy hiding your negative self-image from the world. Don't fake it! As you begin to excavate your real self out from under who you pretend to be, you get to shift positions from being driven to a driver.

If you don't take control of your life someone else will. Do you want to be the master of your fate or the victim of your circumstances?
As you practice your visualisation you will begin to see yourself in a new light. You will learn to turn up the volume of that inner voice, to trust your gut and to begin to follow the promptings of your own heart. And when you do that your life will change forever.
Let's give it a go. You will find three examples below. Choose the one which suits you the best. The first one is going to take you about 5-10 minutes. The second one is 30 minutes long but guided, you just lie down and listen. The third one only takes 2 minutes, in case you are tight on time. Or try them all.
VISUALISATION EXERCISE 1 (5-10min)
After reading the following 5 steps take a little break to actually do the exercise. A famous English hypnotist and an author of self-help books, Paul McKenna, recommends repeating this simple exercise at least once a day every day for a week to reprogram your self- image for success.
- Take a few moments to relax and breathe deeply. As your muscles relax, it becomes easier and easier to unleash your imagination.
- Now imagine another you standing in front of you. This is the most magnificent you that you can imagine - your authentic self.
- Take a moment to feel totally happy with your authentic self. Look at the way that the authentic
self stands, breathes, smiles walks and talks. Look at how the authentic you speaks to others. Notice how the authentic you handles problems and goes for goals.
- Now step into and synthesise with your authentic self. See through the eyes of your authentic self, hear through the ears of your authentic self and feel how it feels so good to live life as your authentic self.
- Finish your visualisation by taking a minute to daydream about how your life will be different as you live more and more from your authentic self. You can imagine yourself living authentically in any number of your situation from your past, present and future.

If you have 30 minutes to invest in yourself listen to this mind programming technique that will help you to feel happier in yourself, to focus on success, release your true potential and create more abundance in your life.
VISUALISATION EXERCISE 3 (2min)
Then there is another kind of visualisation. For those who have only 2 minutes a day to commit to. It is called a fixated visualisation. What you need to do is to find images of your goals. Not only list them down or keep them in your mind. But by seeing them in the pictures, you want to make them come alive!
Once you have an image, you will stare at it very intently for 2 minutes. Without taking your eyes off it! Your eyes will naturally move around to take in different aspects of the picture. Of course, you can blink as many times as you need to.
See if you can put yourself inside of the pictures. Make up the stories, feel your goals on an emotional level. You must totally connect with them. Feel them, taste them, smell them, hear them, touch them. Involve all your senses to make visualisation process vibrant and tangible. Fire up the circuits in your brain and make your goals happen.
More you practice visualisation the more naturally this will happen. The first thing in the morning will be an ideal time for letting your imagination flow. The best time to give yourself an energy boost that is more powerful and longer- lasting than any stimulant.
Wow, those many benefits out of visualisation. Do not wait but practice - close your eyes and see yourself in situations you would like to be. See yourself few weeks, months, years in future when you will have accomplished your goals. Feel your success, understand what it brings to you, live the changes. Not only now but on daily basis. Create a habit, make your goals real, make them happen.
