A True Story of Hardship
A True Story of Hardship that is happening right now and the outcome is still unwritten.

Ok so look, I'm leaving for Australia tomorrow and was not going to post any blogs until I arrived, y'know due to all the packing that I have to do and organising all the loose ends. But I really wanted to share this with you and hopefully it's something that will resonate with you and maybe even help you in a situation you're in.
Well a very close friend of mine is going through some pretty intense times at the moment, I wont mention any names of course nor will I go too much in to detail about the situation itself either because in reality it doesn't really matter, it's more the vibe that I want you to get from this.
So, said friend is having financial troubles, relationship troubles and family troubles all at the same time it would seem.
Most of this sprouting from the first issue, Money. It's a bastard of a thing, isn't it? I mean nearly every single one of us are fighting tooth and nail to get a peice of that delicious pie and for some it seems to come easier than for others, but hey, that's life, right?
So this tough money situation obviously is effecting his mood and then that overspills into the other areas of his life.
It's as if though money controls our emotions and in the end it really does. I mean let me put it to you this way, if you're going really well with cash then you're in a good mood.
You're in a good mood, you're gonna be acting nicer to those around you (including yourself). Obviously I am fully aware that money doesn't equal happiness, I'm not saying that at all, but you know what I'm getting at hopefully.
Well he came to see me today and that's mainly the reason I'm doing this blog is because after he left and gave me a good run down on what's been happening with him lately I really felt a lot of other people may be feeling the same and as the old adage goes, "Misery loves company".
Now I beleive in that saying quite a lot and I reckon a lot of people do too. I don't want all of us to feel depressed and low but in this particular case I want to lift him up and in doing so, through this blog, you as well.
So I began telling him,
"ok mate your main problem is the lack of that sweet cheddar and the fact that you're lacking in that area your mood is then affected resulting in poor attitude and finally having bad relationship with all around you.
"So lets start in this area first", I told him.
"You have a great product, awesome ideas, good people around you and the business you have is proven",
"November is a slow season for your industry so don't feel too discouraged with your current results"
He then went on to say, "yeah but that doesn't help my money situation, does it"?
"Of course it doesn't and I understand but just keep pushing on and things will improve without a doubt", I added.
He had about a year ago made some business moves that in the end didn't pay off for one reason or another but I told him not to let that get him down. In hindsight it's always easy to see what would've been the right decision but at that point in time if he didn't take that leap of faith, it would've eaten away at him for a long time of what could've been. And I pointed out to him that he learnt many valuable lessons through the process, so it wasn't all for nothing albeit an expensive way to learn these lessons.
So instead of moping about like a sad sack, just get your groove back, there's nothing stopping you. You'll still wake up tomorrow morning, you'll still have food on the table and you WILL kick ass yet again. When you start kicking ass your mood will change and as soon as your mood changes, your once glum outlook on life will do a 180 and things will seem more clear and bright. And it goes without saying once all that happens, everything will fall into place such as your relationships with your loved ones and so forth.
So when he left, he gave me a solid hand shake and had a look in his eyes of change.
So what I want you to get from this blog.
- Life can be really shit sometimes, that's a given.
- But you can push on through it! (When you're going through hell, keep going)
- Your past doesn't equal your future
- That other people too go through tough times
That's it for this blog guys. For my friends in Aus that have just read this, I appreciate it and can't wait to see y'all in the land down under!
