We have a friend called WILL.

We all need WILL in our lives. WILL means different things to different people. For some it is a wish, drive, desire,  power, self discipline or whatever their word to describe what they need to achieve their desires.

The will to live is a will often discussed at birth. Studies at one time proved that infant females had a greater will to live than male babies. Why, I don't know. This may have changed over the years.

Why do some people have more will power than others?  Each person has their own desires or reason why & this can change often when circumstances change.

My sister had cancer for 28years. Her will to live was great until the last six months of her life. Her last surgery left her with a colostomy  bag. This was something she deffinitely did not want to have.

It was quite a messy smelly procedure changing  & cleaning this devise.

Her desire to go & do activities of any sort diminished quickly.

When she wanted me to be with her I came off & on for a six month period of time. Her drive & desire & will to live dwindled as she became weaker.

One day she said to the doctor. If these pills are keeping me alive I don't want them any more.

This was an experience of a life time that gave me insight as to how people feel when they want to pass on.

She cried out help me, help me. When she was asked what she wanted she just wanted to go home to be with her LORD.

She was surrounded with family & friends 24 X 7 as she did not want to go to the hospital. She had many careing friends that had had cancer also. Many of her friends were from the health care profession & many from her church.

Most are very caring beings with a lot of love in their hearts. She did not want the aids that were provided through our health system nearing her end.

Fortunately she had a great love and respect for her doctor who was an exxceptional human being.

I learned that will power must come from within. The desires for changes must come from within.

Help & support can make life's journey more pleasant but the major decision making must come from within.

We have learned much more about will power since we chose to listen to  a 7 day video series.
