How to Clear Your Mind and Focus on One Thing

The River Thames

The famous river Thames in 1957 was called 'Filthy, opaque and stinking of rotten eggs'? It was biologically dead several miles above and below London Bridge.

Earlier in 1858, it was called the 'Great Stink' because of industrial activity and sewage along the river bank.

Now, one hundred and fifty years, great results are visible because of stricter industry regulations.

Its cleaner waters now have many fish, more than 2,000 seals, and hundreds of porpoises and dolphins. Even the odd whale and ancient eel-like creatures called sea lampreys.

Have You Cleared the Clutter of Your Mind?

Can you visualize your mind as a polluted river? Filled with debris, slime, oily, polluted water?

Negative, fearful, shaming, angry, victimized thoughts?

Training your mind to focus on breathing or staying present is like putting a huge big net in the river. First with large holes. Negative thoughts would pass through. You would notice them and then go back to your breathing or being present.

With time, the net would have smaller holes as concentration improved and there would be fewer distractions. And the 'water' or flow of your mind is cleaner and clearer.

Then will less 'negative' debris, 'creative' life-giving thoughts would flourish, gaining momentum.

Focus on that One Thing

Then, I want to turn into a 'salmon' with a single minded focus to go against the flow of the river and swim to that one spot.

I joined SFM in February 2017 and I have gone through the modules and seen the training videos, joined the community, done some blog posts as well as some videos and I have also reached out to make friends and get help. These have been big steps for me. I have been a leader in the past but that was in a different area and now I have to learn to do it online. I want to learn, teach, coach and inspire others too to make a living by having a digital lifestyle. That is my goal.

Please join me on my journey. I am willing to help. Sign up by clicking the banner below, see you soon :)
