5 Ways To Accept Change

Change 'Shift Happens' those 2 words have stuck with me since I was around 20 years old.

For all of us change is inevitable, if this is so, why do so many of us fear it or get uncomfortable with it?

Over the years I have seen some people violently reject any change offered to them, before reasoning with themselves and accepting it.

I have compiled a list of what I believe to be the top 5 ways to accept change.

1.  Understanding Change.

Why does it have to change? Asking probing questions on why the status quo is being changed will help you to understand the reasons behind it, on some occasions you may even have the opportunity to have some input to changes that may be happening arround you.

2.   What is the worst can happen?

Ask yourself, what is the worst that can happen and then understand how you can handle it. 
Things feel better when you know you can handle the worst case scenario, then direct your energy to ensuring that change runs smoothly.

3.   All change is good?

Everybody knows that change is inevitable we also know that not all change is good, so what do we do when things go bad? We first have to accept the situation we find ourselves in, accept responsibility when needed then look for solutions or you guessed it MORE CHANGE.
If you're in a situation you don't like get up and leave, you are not a tree.
Remember if everything was perfect you would be itching to press the big red chaos button.


4.   Be an advocate for change.

The biggest obstical to change is in what lies between your ears, your thinking is critical, it's controls everything.
Your mental resolve will be the reason for wanting change, never settle for the status quo, imagine how the world would be like if didn't accept the changes over the centuries.

5.   Comfort zones.

These are the killers to living a fulfilled life, coasting along to the grave may be what some want from life but I ask you how many people burried in your local cemetery were burried with dreams unfulfilled through fear of change.
Shake up your comfort zones, go learn to dance or learn to be a Toast Master, Find something that excites you and go do it.

So that in my opinion is 5 ways to accept change.
