How to become a cabin crew
Today I am going to share with you how to become a cabin crew. I am going to write about steps that I took and what helped me to achieve the goal. Then I am going to use the same steps and make a plan for my next goal.
The journey to become cabin crew was different for everyone. Someone would say it was easy while others could have opposite opinion. Remember that everyone talks from her/his perspective. I am going to write about my experience, about my point of view.
I was working as a tennis coach in my country when the idea to become a cabin crew was born. I wanted to live in another country, become independent, learn the new language and skills, travel around the world, meet new people and cultures, etc. I had the opportunity to move abroad during my studies twice, but I missed it because of my fears. But that is the title of my next post. "If I could only become a cabin crew, I would be able to fulfill all my wishes." was the idea in my mind that I couldn't get rid off. That was how everything started, with one idea, one burning desire to become a cabin crew.
Steps to become a cabin crew
The next step was to figure out all the necessary skills for this job. So I started searching on the internet, reading blogs, forums, articles about this topic. And I would suggest
I determined the skills needed for this job and started developing them. I also defined the limited beliefs that could sabotage me. And then the process was much easier. My awareness was on the higher level, and I could easily exchange those limited beliefs with supportive one. I connected with the girl from the cabin crew forum who had the previous experience as cabin crew and was willing to give me the classes. Then we found another one who wanted to join us. We were gathering twice a week, practicing, sharing information, planning our trip to another country to attend the assessment day. We knew the importance of the first impression, our appearance (style and image), CV writing, photos, answers to interview questions, so we invested our time and money to get everything done and ready for that day.
I invested money into making the professional photos, taking the English lessons, purchasing the business attire items (shoes and skirt), buying the book about final interview questions and answers. Every detail was planned, and that gave us confidence and the result. We were successful.
After getting the positive reply from Etihad Airways, I had started writing the blog with some tips. There you can find some useful information, but I urge you to read as much as you can about this topics. The confidence is in preparation. If you are not over-prepared, you are under-prepared.
Remember if you really want to become a cabin crew define the steps, figure out how you can do the steps, and then DO them no matter what. And one more important thing, believe in yourself and never give up until you accomplish your dream.
My new goal and steps to achieve it
Now I am going to write about my new goal. My goal is to become the digital marketing expert. I fall in love with this idea because this job has potential to fulfill all my current wishes, and you can read about them and the reasons over here. The steps for achieving this goal are:
- get the knowledge (find the best mentor in that area and learn as much as you can),
- implement the knowledge (the knowing won't make a difference, doing will),
- be prepared to work hard (this is the new field for you, be patient and persist),
- make a goal that can be measured,
- make a daily, monthly and yearly plan (this will keep you focused),
- believe in yourself and never give up,
- connect with the like-minded people (find the right community).
Probably, the more will be revealed to me by time, but I have to start from somewhere. There are a lot of things to be done, but it is about the journey, not the destination. I am ready to commit myself and to succeed in this field as well. The first and last step are already done.
