Help me in doubling the number of wild tigers by 2022 the next Chinese year of the Tiger
Dear Family, Friends and Tiger Lovers!
Some of you might know HOW MUCH I love Tigers since a very young age. Already as a toddler, I was keeping jealously all photos of Tigers I found in magazines and newspaper in my private collection of things I valued most in life. My favorite toy besides the yellow Lamborghini Countach was a plastic Tiger which I carried always with me any place I went. I even had an imaginary Tiger I talked to and each time before going to sleep, I was fantasizing about amazing adventures in nature with my beloved animal. My passion for Tigers didn't end as a kid and this year I decided to step up and show my love for this iconic species in a practical way, so I adopted a Tiger through the WWF adoption page. I'm sure this will be the first adoption amongst many other in future.
About myself
Since recently I’m in the process of building my knowledge around social marketing and digital skills with the purpose to grow personally and to give something back to the people who want to improve their lives and getting the best version of themselves in all areas of life. For now I don't plan to monetize my endeavors and will see how this adventure develops in future. I'll concentrate on following topics: personal development, fitness and healthy lifestyle. I called my endeavor "Tigers Transformation" to symbolize the Tigers strength, audacity and the fact that we all need to chase our purpose and not react to change and other people's goals. Despite the incredible strength and determination of this beautiful creature, unfortunately, deforestation and climate change are quickly bringing the ecosystems of this magnificent animal out of balance, heavily impacting this species. That's where I'd like to give back some time, skills (marketing and network) and funds to help maintaining ecological integrity of Tiger's natural habitat.
Why World Wildlife Fund (WWF)?
WWF was always something special for me as it provided with the opportunity to get to know from a very young age animals in foreign countries. This is what ignited my love for animals, travel and exploring new things, cultures, people. I am fundraising for World Wildlife Fund because I want to protect the future of nature and give WWF back some of the passion the gave to me as a kid.
Deforestation, climate change, water scarcity, and illegal wildlife trade. These are some of the threats facing our planet today—and no one person or group can tackle them alone. But if we work together, we can take on anything.
We can protect the very things that keep us alive: our forests, our oceans, our fresh water, our wildlife, our energy supply, our food supply.
The project I found most appealing and that motivates me to give back to WWF and Tigers is TX2.
About Tx2
Tigers are the largest species of cat and one of the most iconic animals on the planet. There may have been over 100,000 tigers roaming this planet about a century ago.
But by 2010, we had lost over 95% of the world’s wild tiger population to rampant poaching and habitat loss. As few as 3,200 of them were left.
An ambitious and visionary species conservation goal was set by the governments of the 13 tiger range countries: to double the number of wild tigers by 2022 – the next Chinese year of the tiger.
This is the Tx2 goal.
I encourage you to visit the official TX2 page to get more insights for this project: http://tigers.panda.org/tx2/
Please join me in this important work by making a donation today by accessing my fundraising page at WWF!
Thank you warmly for any contribution!
