Gambhir ensures KKR Survival After rain delay
Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir struck two sixes and two fours to beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets with four balls to spare via the Duckworth-Lewis system in the Elimination game if the 2017 Indian Premier league season at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Set 48 to win in six overs after a lengthy rain delay Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the first over to Chris Lynn struck who promptly launched the first ball for six then got a faint edge of the second ball and was out caught behind. Dhawan was caught behind off Umesh Yadav for eleven. Kane Williamson struck two fours and a six in a 26 ball 24 and Vijay Shankar added 22 to round the highest scorers for last year's champion Hyderabad.
KKR will do battle with the Mumbai Indians on Friday to decide who goes on to the final on Sunday.
