Why do people cheat in the relationship?
I have decided to write this post because this syndrome is not only present in the cabin crew life, but it is present everywhere and has the potential to become socially accepted. What do I mean by socially accepted?
Most of the people have already accepted cheating as normal behavior. They experienced it, and now they expect it in every future relationship. I was surrounded by a lot of people telling me their story, and it happened to me recently. Here is my opinion on the subject.
Why do people cheat in the relationship?
The reasons are numerous, but I like to think about the major one which is the root of this problem. And that is AWARENESS.
So, why do people cheat in the relationship? It is the lack of awareness (the lack of knowledge).
- people are not aware of their feelings, desires, thoughts, goals, beliefs
- they do not know why something is happening and where to look for the solution,
- they always blame someone else and easily find excuses,
- they are not responsible,
- they do not have knowledge about emotions, how to recognize them and control them,
- they do not know what empathy is,
- they are not ready to work on themselves,
- they are not willing to change because it takes constant action and it is the process that lasts forever,
- they spend their free time watching TV, playing games, reading the newspapers, doing the things that will not benefit them,
- they are not willing to invest in personal development,
- they are not open minded.
Let me explain the things mentioned above and I will repeat the question one more time.
Why do people cheat in the relationship?
People do not pay attention how they feel during the day, about certain things, about their relationship. They are not aware that certain thoughts brought them those feelings. They usually do not have the clear goal, and they are not ready to do whatever it takes to accomplish it. But this is the topic for another post.
They are not ready to take responsibility. If you are aware, you know that you are responsible for your actions. You will not try to find excuses. You will spend your free time wisely to find the root of the problem inside you and to look for the solution. Because you know that your feelings are important and that they are responsible for your actions.
You will use your free time to study about them; you will be more aware of the feelings of others and why they do or act in a certain way. You will understand them. And you will know that everything starts within your mind, with your thoughts with your decisions which will lead to your feelings and actions.
If you know all of this things, and if you continuously work on yourself you will achieve three important states:
- state where you won't be a cheater
- state where you would understand why someone cheated you
- state where your mental strength is on such level that you will be able to recover quickly if you encounter this situation because you know the cause
I can not emphasize the importance of personal development. Please, be open minded and chose the path to work on yourself. Because if you do so your life and the life of people surrounding you will be much easier and more beautiful. You will be able to handle even more painful situations in life and to recover very quickly.
