God’s Way To Success part 1

Many people today, are desperately searching for success. But success isn't the same to every person!

For some, it means making a lot of money. For others, success means popularity or accomplishing some goal or task. Success means a lot of different things to different people. The American dictionary defines success, as a favorable or desired outcome, of something which has been attempted. People try to be successful in ways that are right; and many attempt to be successful, in ways that are wrong. But there is one way which will always work. God,s way never fails.

In Joshua 1:8, we read, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

The word meditate in Hebrew-hagah (haw-gaw), means: to murmur, ponder, study, or to speak.  A person that expects to be successful must continually be speaking, thinking on, and being obedient to the Word of God. The Hebrew-tsaleach (tsaw-lay-akh), means: to be profitable, or successful; to be able to accomplish certain goals. The Hebrew-sakal (saw-kal), means: to have understanding and Godly wisdom; to be intelligent and skillful.

God is saying to us that if we will meditate on his Word, speak it, and be obedient to it, He will give us the Godly wisdom needed in every situation; and He will also give us the understanding and intelligence which we need, to be skillful at any task we undertake in life. Psalm 1:1-3 tells us: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Proverbs 3:1-2 says, “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.” We are to remember God’s Word; read and abide in it daily; being obedient to it always, and treasure IT in our hearts. The Word is to be our daily guide to life.

When we allow God's Word to be our guide in life, He will always help us accomplish more; and we will be blessed with long life. Peace in the Hebrew-shalom (shaw-lome), means safety, happiness, joy, prosperity, and health. As long as we abide in the God's Word, and obey it, we will be prosperous and successful in every way.

We need to be forgiving and kind hearted, toward everyone. We need to have a loving heart toward everyone in spite of how they treat us. Matt. 6:14-15 says: “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." If we are merciful and forgiving, then we will have favor with GOD and man.

Prov. 3:5 says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. Trust in the Hebrew-batach (baw-takh) means: to have confidence in, and to feel secure, because of one’s faith in a person or thing (the Lord Jesus in this case). We must trust Him with every thing. God’s way is always the best way, and He is never going to fail us.  Prov. 3:6, tells us:“In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy Paths.” Acknowledge in the Hebrew-yada (yaw-dah) means: to recognize, or to look unto as a leader; giving deserved respect unto while doing so.   We need to seek God’s will in every decision which we make and He will direct us!
