Ready for a fight?
Ready for a fight? Jump into a car and get on the A40, London's through route to the west.
This happened to me. Actually I was partly responsible. At first the blame is always with the other drivers. Then I did not feel 100% guiltless. I like to think of myself as correct. Not necessarily on the moral high ground but if the police turn up, I don't want my name in their little book.
Can this be avoided? I thought it was inevitable on the battle ground of driving. Now that things have calmed down, I feel more guilty than before. It all stemmed from reading a quote about how my parents messed up my life. I don't really think they messed up my life, I messed it up but always a great way to get the blame on someone else. The preconditioning I had about life, and this goes for us all, was from our parents, or whoever looked after us. They push on us their values and teachings. Despite my parents are great and taught many good things, now I am seeing cracks in the teachings.
So what should i do now. Complain to my parents? Disown them. It's just a natural thing. Deal with it. Would it not have been nice to get this information when I was 14, or have it planted in the school ciriculum. This would make us all better people. 'Hey mum and dad, don't interfere with my life, you're just messing it up'. I don't think i could carry that off with confidence. Especially as I had failed almost every subject at school.
Anyway too late to turn that clock back, the clock that you cannot turn back, so let's drop that figure of speech. I'm here for the now. Deal with everything that comes your way. Enjoy the good and push the bad aside. Everyday is a trial. It's meant to be that way. Enjoy a good movie once in a while, not every day. Read more, exercise more. Give more away(my clutter filled attic has become a structural problem for the building and emotionally that stuff would be better elsewhere).
Am I still ready for a fight? I feel more direction with the energy I have left. No so inclined to cut other drivers up on the freeway. The cure for me was writing backward from the incident to myself. No excuses.
