What Is The Reality?
“Reality is not always right” Abraham Hicks says. It might be hard for most of us to grasp on to the concept, but there is something true about it.
For instance if you enjoy traveling like me, you are constantly confronted with the contrast of reality. Especially when you go to a country that's very different from your own culture and tradition.
You might sometimes catch yourself wondering “Why are the locals doing that? Why are they not doing it in a better way.” (I know I’m guilty of that thought ;-))
The better way
In your mind, the better way might be the real way or the only way to do things. But of course the truth is that the locals see their reality differently than you see it. For them, what they are doing is normal. They are born and raised in this way of living and in their minds there is nothing wrong with it. As a foreigner you can’t always see that, because you as well are born and raised with other traditions and rules.
A story told
Basically what happens is that when you are young you get a story told about life. The story paints the picture of the world around you and it becomes your reality. It’s reality for you and maybe your family, but it might not even be reality for your neighbor. What you think is true and right, other people might think is wrong. Reality is what we make it and what we decide it should be. So if you don’t like the reality you see, then you can change it.
“How can I change reality?” you might say,
"I don’t have the freedom to do what I want and I can’t change that.”
Not having freedom is the reality of what is happening in front you at this moment. It is what it is. But you have to ask yourself what the reality means to you. It is the meaning and feelings you put behind the ‘reality,’ you can actually change.
Change you thoughts
If your freedom is connected to money and it is low, instead of stating it and worry about it, you can think: “At the moment I don’t have the freedom to do what I want, but that will change." Instead of saying: “I don’t have the money to be free” you can ask: “How can I afford it?” and let your mind find a way to create more money. It’s all about changing your thoughts so it fits to the reality you want to create.
It's true
Having all that in mind, the quote “Reality is not always right” is true because you can change your reality. We do it all the time throughout life. We learn new things get smarter and by that out reality changes.
Reality is what you make it
You have to stop focusing on what is in front of you and think about what you want your reality to be like instead. See it, feel it, believe it. Live like it's already here:-)
