How To Be Successful On Instagram

(contiued from last blog)

5. After Posting:

Now you have posted and added your #. Next step is to be social. Search for people who are in your niche and follow them. Choose 10 of your favorites and begin to comment on their posts. The more you write to other people, the more you will be seen. Many of them you 'Like' will come back to you and 'Like' your posts as well. That is how you get more followers.

6. Be Consistent:

From the start decide how often you will post a week or daily and stick with that. If you choose to post twice a day, then you have to post twice a day 365 days a year and preferably at the same time. Those who follow you will look for you and if your posts are not up at the same time as normal the followers loose interest and might unfollow you. Statistics say that there are more people on IG at 2 am and 5 pm (New York time) and Thursday afternoons are the busiest day of the week. Aim to post something on those times.

7. Theme:

Make sure that your IG account is consistent. Keep the same theme flowing through it makes it easier to look at. Check out what others are doing and get some ideas. Some people only use quotes on their posts, some only photos, some selfies and private photos, some only products, and many people mix it up too. It is all okay, but it's just important to have a system. When people look at your IG, it takes seconds for them to decide if it is a page that appeals to them. In that short undefinedamount of time they must get an idea of who you are and how your message can benefit them. Keep it simple.

8. Create Emotions:

Instagram is used to create a certain emotion in other people. So on your post, instead of showing a product (which of course you can do) it is better if you show the feeling the product/service will give you after you use it. Show them your 'why'; Why you are doing what you do, and the right people will relate to you.

9. Mark Your Posts:

It’s smart to put your logo and/or watermark to your images. For once it makes it look more professional. Second when your follower’s shares your posts on other social media (which we are aiming for) people will always know who made the post and they will be able to find you again via your logo.
