How To Be Successful On Instagram
(Continued from the last blog)
10. IG Name and Picture:
It is important that your name on IG is easy to remember and it describes what you promote. It's a good idea that it’s the same name that you use on your other social media accounts and also great if the profile picture is the same in all your social media accounts. This will make it easier for people to recognize you.
11. Profile Settings:
Under your profile it's recommended that you change the line with your private name to something that explains you and your account/business. This name will also help you rank higher in the search engine. As an example; if you are running an online coaching business write “Online expert, Coaching expert, Entrepreneur etc.” This will make you stand out. Under the profile settings you also find the IG name, the link to the website and after that your profile text. Signs a limited in the text box, so don’t write your email address in the text because it won’t show up as a link and people won’t use it if they can’t click on it. Rather use the few characters you have to say who you are, why you do what you do and what you can offer.
12. Only One Link:
Unfortunately IG has only made room for one link in the profile which you can referrer to and people can click on. It's a bit challenging, but there is a solution. You can gather all of your social media accounts, websites, blogs and more on a elink. It’s a free platform where you can add all your accounts and create one link that you can put on your IG profile. In this way you can always refer to the elink which takes people to your website, sales page and more.
13. Picture Editing:
If you want to make eppic post with either your own or others' pictures, I can recommend canva.com (for PC or IPhone) and WordSwag (both on Android and IPhone). There are many other editors but I like these two, especially WordSwag because I can use it on my phone. It costs a little, but it gives you tons of images, text and content which makes it easy to use on the go. On WordSwag you can also add your logo or watermark to your picture which is really smart.
